Farnath & Associates, Inc., a certified women-owned business (WBE) founded in 1988, specializes in contingency and retained recruitment for the clinical and biotech laboratory industries throughout the U.S. The Agency places people in positions ranging from Research Scientist to Sales, Sales and Marketing Management through President level. Since inception the company has grown rapidly and successfully, becoming a highly respected recruitment and consulting organization and attaining "Preferred Partner" status with multiple organizations. This is due to our high level of integrity, industry knowledge, technical expertise, reliability, honesty and fairness, coupled with a strong work ethic and genuine regard for both clients and candidates. The recruitment process includes studying the Client Company and its products, conducting extensive research in identifying and matching candidates based on the client's needs and goals by qualifying, condensing and then contacting the appropriate candidates. Finally, we present the opportunity in a knowledgeable and influential manner, consult on resume and interview preparation, schedule, follow up, negotiate and career counsel to keep the process moving forward to an agreeable conclusion. Candidates are thoroughly prequalified before resumes are sent.

Melissa has a BS degree in Business from Drexel University with honors in Business Law. For over 20 years she has worked as a recruiter for DWF, Inc. successfully placing individuals in various levels ranging from technical support and sales to vice president of sales/marketing for manufacturers and suppliers of diagnostic products for both the clinical and biotech laboratories.
Melissa's track record includes leading the company in sales, developing a resume writing service for the company and establishing the company's exhibit booth for trade shows. She earned Partner-level status in 1998. Additionally, she is a member of Mid-Atlantic Association of Personnel Consultants (MAAPC), where she routinely attends recruitment training seminars and symposia and is an integral part of the company's web and software development team.
Dorothy W. Farnath
Dorothy Farnath attended the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in Medical Technology. She began her career as a Medical Technologist in the clinical laboratories of Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and, thereafter, spent 22 years in various Medical Technology capacities, including Supervisor of Urology and Supervisor/Manager of Chemistry and Hematology at a commercial laboratory and Hahnemann Hospital of Philadelphia, PA.
In 1987, Dorothy began work with a recruitment company, Health Care Recruiters, as a diagnostics specialist, placing candidates within New Jersey and Pennsylvania in sales, marketing and technical positions with diagnostics manufacturers and suppliers. In 1988, she founded her present company, Dorothy W. Farnath & Associates, Inc., with a goal to provide quality recruitment services for the diagnostics industry throughout Europe and The Americas.
